As China specialists, we have developed exciting tours designed
for you to experience the best of China. We focus on cultural
or educational interests, although we explore many other areas.
We want foremost for you to enjoy your stay so you can reap
rich personal benefits from the investment you make in a China
tour.
Our clientele are discriminating travelers who expect quality
and value, and get it when they come with us. The hotels we
use are normally four-star or five-star; so, too, is the Yangtze
cruiser. Most meals are provided. Restaurants are carefully
chosen; as are the coaches for our sightseeing forays. Our
informative local guides are all English-speaking.
Our program includes 13- or 17-day Yangtze River/China Highlights
tours that take you through the fabulous Three Gorges of the
Yangtze River, a storied section soon to be changed forever
with the completion of a massive dam under construction at
the downriver end of the gorges. Each tour goes to Beijing,
Xian, Chongqing, Wuhan or Yichang, Guilin, Yangshuo and Shanghai.
You have the option of adding three more days to the tour
to take in the World Heritage gardens of Suzhou, the historic
Grand Canal and Tongli, a watertown dating from the Ming Dynasty.
We also offer two 22-day tours - in spring and in fall -
incorporating a five-star cruise on the Yangtze River with
visits to some of the less traveled regions of the country.
Each tour takes in Beijing, Xian, Wuhan, Chongqing, Shanghai
and Suzhou. The spring tour goes to Luoyang for the annual
spectacular Peony Festival, and to Guilin and the beautiful
Li River. The fall tour goes to Dazu, renowned for its Buddhist
rock carvings, and takes in colorful regions of Dali and Lijiang
in exotic western Yunnan Province, the land of mythical Shangri-la.
One of our most popular tours is our Classical China and
World of Confucius Tour, a 17-day overland odyssey by first-class
train, coach and canal boat between Beijing and Shanghai,
with stops in eight cities, including the birthplace of Confucius,
the sacred mountain of Tai, Suzhon & Hangzhon. There's
no better introduction to the Middle Kingdom than this first-class
tour.
We also organize and lead tours for teachers as part of their
professional development. Please contact us for details. These
programs do fill up quickly.
