26-DAY PRIVATE LUXURY TOUR TO BEIJING, KUNMING, LIJIANG, CHONGQING, YANGTZE RIVER, XIAN, LUOYANG, SHAOLIN, CHENGDU, EMEISHAN, LESHAN, GUILIN, YANGSHUO, HANGZHOU, WUZHEN AND SHANGHAI (SPRING 2008)
The trip was fantastic. The hotels were great, especially the Banyan Tree in Lijiang, which was my most favorite place of all; the location and view were outstanding. We loved the people and the villages and the wonderful shows. One show we saw at a theatre in Kunming was the best thing I have ever seen. The Water and Light Show at Yangshuo was absolutely fabulous. The Shaolin Zen Grand Concert was another highlight. So, too, a show in Chengdu featuring Sichuan Opera and face-mask changing. Incredible. But by far the best show was the Impressions of West Lake at Hangzhou. It was breathtaking. I don't think I'll ever see as beautiful an event in my life. I wish we had had more time. I could have spent another day in Kunming, Emeishan and Shanghai. I came away loving China and want to go back. Thank you for arranging the tour for us.

23-DAY DELUXE YANGTZE/LAND OF SHANGRI-LA (MAY 2008)
An outstanding trip. We soaked up every minute of it. Every stop was enjoyable and different. We enjoyed the guides and their terrific service. There was a good balance of city and rural. We took full advantage of our spare (or free) time to walk the streets, back alleys, vegetable markets, etc. to get a feel for daily life of the Chinese in cities and towns. In Xian we danced at 7 in the morning with the seniors and in Chopngqing did taichi in the street. The history of the country (and each area) is overwhelming but we absorbed as much as we could. But the people, now, was what we really were interested im seeing. The country (and especially the young people) are bubbling over with enthusiasm and optimism. It was great! We'd gladly recommend Wan-Da to any of your prospective customers.

Wanted to thank you both for arranging a splendid holiday for us and our great travelling companions. Everything was perfect and went like chockwork – what a beautiful country and lovely people. Such an enriching experience for us.

18-DAY DELUXE YANGTZE/CHINA HIGHLIGHTS (SEPT 2007)
Just a quick note to say thank you for a great tour in China. Everything was well planned and we certainly covered a lot of territory! I was very impressed by the quality and knowledge of the tour guides, both the Wan-Da guide, Jade, and the local guides. We all fell in love with Jade. She is certainly a very nice, kind and thoughtful person who really made the tour special. I came home with a different impression of China than I had previously (more positive), found the people very friendly and the sights and scenery most interesting. I would certainly recommend Wan-Da Tours to anyone else contemplating travel to Asia. Thanks again.

13-DAY TIBET BY TRAIN TOUR (JUNE 2007)
All went VERY WELL. The trip was adventurous. We realized we had packed too many clothes, as it was not as cold as we had expected. Most of the trip turned out to be hot. … We especially liked the Panda Center (in Chengdu). The least exciting portion of the trip really was the train ride. It actually turned out okay because having tickets to two different bunks in two different cars gave us a choice. Amy's car was cool and noisy. My car was hot and quiet. We chose cool and noisy. What made the ride lively were the "mates" riding in our compartment. I had a Chinese psychiatrist who spoke English. Amy had three college boys who also spoke English so we all got along splendidly. Coming from Fairbanks, which is ringed with huge mountains, I was delighted with the scenery, but not in awe. At 16,000 feet we hit white-out conditions for a spell. I would have liked some oxygen as all of the westerners were left to fend for themselves whereas all of the Chinese were provided with tubes to breathe from. But, I heeded your advice and hydrated. There were moments of light-headedness, but they soon dissipated. I did run in Lhasa at 13,000 and I was passing pedicabs with waving patrons. I was getting accustomed to the altitude by then. However, there was something in the air, which caused Amy and I to begin sneezing for two days. It seemed that the sweet smell of the incense exacerbated the situation. Duker, our guide was terrific. We really enjoyed him. All of the guides were very knowledgeable and very friendly. At every pick-up point a friendly face was there to greet us. The hotel accommodations were very good; especially the hotel in Chengdu. You really wouldn't want to drive in Chengdu. They are crazy there. We saw 4 accidents. There are no rules to the road. So, all in all, your company did very well and Amy and I were pleased with all of your suggestions along the way. Otherwise, we would not have seen a number of sights we were unfamiliar with.

24-DAY LAND OF SHANGRI-LA TOUR (MAY 2007)
We wish to thank you for arranging this wonderful tour. It gave us a more than just a thumbnail sketch of China. Our tour group was very compatible and we made many new friends . The attractions selected for visiting  could only be described as amazing. China is truly amazing. My favourite attraction was of course the Terra Cotta Army followed by the Great Wall and the forbidden city and the Summer Palace. I would hate to categorize the rest. They were truly spectacular.  Jacquie especially enjoyed the Dragons Backbone and Lijiang city. Our tour leader San San was as you described her,a truly delightful lady who is extremely competant in what must be hectic job. The local guides were knowledgeable and pleasant. I would like to single out Norman and Lily for special thanks. Peter although informative seemed to have his own agenda.  The bus drivers were very capable driving in difficult situations and were all helpful, cheery and polite. The individual food dishes were not always to our taste but there was always a selection that everyone liked.
George and Jacquie P (Elliott Lake, ON)

17-DAY INDOCHINA DISCOVERY (2006)
I am writing to thank you for that wonderful trip in the old French Indochina. I travel quite a bit and have never been on a group that met so many of my expectations. The hotels were absolutely grand, the food excellent, the sites and visits to them beautifully organized; the buses clean and comfortable … I save the highest praise for our tour leader, shepherd, protector, organizer and one woman dynamo, Naiwei. She deserves unlimited praise for making our trip so fabulous and memorable. She seems to be fearless. She made the trip into a truly great experience … we all loved her. I hope to travel with you again. Joe O (Tottenham, ON)

The Indochina tour was wonderful; my only complaint would be that it was too short. I could have very easily spent another 3, 4 or 5 weeks with Wan-Da Tour in countries we visited Deborah E (St John’s NL)
